Music For Kids and Families

aboutwayne

“What fun! And what good listening for kids or anyone!” writes Sing Out! Magazine, referring to Singer/Songwriter Wayne Potash as a “master of kids’ music.”

Winner of the coveted 2007 Parents' Choice Music Award, his recordings are featured on children’s radio programs across the country, and feature a unique blend of folk, bluegrass, pop, and blues.  Rambles Magazine writes that Wayne sings "the most memorable melodies in American music with bright, understated guitar playing and a friendly vocal delivery that positively begs the audience to sing along.”  Northeast Performer Magazine calls his latest CD Don’t Forget the Donut! “an example of great children’s music.”

Wayne plays at libraries, schools, parks, birthday parties, fund-raisers, and special events throughout New England on vocals, banjo, guitar, harmonica and ukulele; including Boston Harborfest and the Lowell Summer Music Festival.   Rambles writes that “Wayne Potash is a man who knows how to play to his audience. More importantly, he's not afraid to play with them.”
Wayne’s Music Fun Band includes award winning banjo player Paul Sedgwick (also on ukulele, didgiridoo, spoons and vocals); John Wiesner on bass guitar, harmonica, and vocals; and Bryn Carlson on drums, percussion and vocals.  The group features kid and grown-up friendly music in folk, bluegrass, pop, blues, and world beat styles.  Getting the audience in on the fun is what they do best.

You can request songs from the new album live on WERS FM on Saturday and Sunday late afternoons. He is on the Massachusetts Cultural Council's touring roster, and The Music Fun Band was featured again this year at Boston Harborfest's Children's Day.
